My neighbor keeps we awake at night by running what I suspect to be?
a wobbley oscillating fan on the hard linoleum floor of his kitchen that shares a wall with my bedroom, that also vibrates every other room in my apartment. I've complained to the landlady, and when she confronted him he admits to have a fan, but denies using it. This has been going on for 2 months. It seems to be variable speed which translates into variable vibration. But even on it's lowest setting the slight vibration is enough to keep me awake ALL NIGHT LONG no matter what room I try to sleep in. He comes in at 3 am and turns it on and rinse and repeat. I even called the cops once but they just told him to be quiet. It's not a noise, it's a VIBRATION. (I know it's not a criminal offense to operate a fan, but it's keeping me up all night and he refuses to stop). I'm moving in a couple months, but until then what can I do? Any suggestions? The dr. prescribed me Ativan, but it doesn't get rid of the vibration either!

when u live in apartment disturbance is unavoidable - there always be something. either loud tv, or loud talking, or loud music, or vibrating washing machine, or fan, or whatever. i have been living in apartments before, there was always smth wrong with noise. there is nothing u can do, just buy a remote house with no close neighbors. i did. and the house must be remote, cos once we were on vacation in crappy spain renting own house for enormous money - guess what - neighbors had a pool and it was a nightmare 24 hours 7 days a week.
